How To Find Great Web 2.0 Domain Names
Whenever I ‘m about to set up a new web site, thinking up a new domain name is always a bit of a struggle. Some domains match their content, like for example, the mobile phone shop at http://www.mobiles.co.uk
But some of the most successful Web 2.0 sites use non-sensical names, or names that make sense if you are in the know, but are pretty obscure, like Google, or perhaps Squidoo. As an aside, here is some interesting background information on the apparent origins of the word Google. But I digress.
I’d like to point you in the direction of a web site that finds domain names using the criteria you select and indicates all those that are available to for purchase. If you are having a hard time coming up with a good web 2.0 style domain name (i.e. a weird word that no-ones uses, but that you can pronounce), this is a great tool.
This tool dramatically decreases the time normally spent agonizing over new domain names.

Find A Web 2.0 Domain Name Easily
To find an available Web 2.0 type domain name, put letters like “gle” (Google), or “doo”, (Squidoo), into the “ends” box.
Using endings of “gle” and “doo”, “ango”, “oso” and “odo” I came up with the following domain names that were all available at the time of writing.
- iozoogle.com
- suspendoo.com
- nonango.com
- dandodo.com
- gyroso.com
What Else?
And it doesn’t stop there – you can use this tool to generate names for startup companies or brandable names for new products.
