The website I’m mentioning today is not really about web design, or web development. It’s just that is uses the latest social media technology and well, it might be of interest to writers and poets?

So You Want To Write?

I’ve got two friends who write (as in novels and for money, the printed word), and they both spoke recently about writer’s block. You can read here what Paula has to say on the subject.

I propose a small step towards a solution. Suppose you could listen in on the random thoughts of people all over the world, where those thoughts were likely to be personal, intimate, or revealing. And suppose you did it whenever you needed a creative writing boost? Just a thought – well, you can.

A Take On Twitter

You’ve heard of Twitter (I go on about it often enough), well someone has taken the more personal thoughts (Tweets) expressed by Twiterers, and put them on a rolling web page.

Meet Twistori

When you get to twistori, you just click on the word that appeals to you the most out of :

It is strangely hypnotic, and you realise there are a lot of wonderful people out there.

Use 43things To Find Affiliate Marketing Topics

You can use this social media site to help locate good topics to write about on your blog, or new (possibly information) products to bring to market that people really want.

43things is a social media site that allows users to list all the life’s goals. The key of course is to find something people need, that is also of great interest to you.

Sign up for an account, and on your home page you’ll see the current, most popular tags. Here is my home page and you can see straight away that “writing a book” is a popular goal for many people. So how about an affiliate site with tips for would be authors and affiliate book links specifically targeted at fledgling authors? Well, it’s an idea.

Find The Most Popular Goals for Users of 43Things

43things have a term they call Zeitgeist – which is another way of saying that which fills the heads of our users at the moment, or something similar. Put another way – it’s a list of the most popular individual goals on 43things (as opposed to popular tags).
